Driving -- Via Midtown Tunnel
Driving to the Hamptons provides you two options: using the Interstate Highway (I-495) or the “Parkways”. Parkways are restricted to commercial-free vehicles only, so you will not have to deal with large trucks. These routes run parallel to each other, and you can jump from one to the other should you encounter heavy traffic. Directions for both routes are provided for you.

From the Queens Midtown Tunnel or 59th Street Bridge: (Via LIE)
Take the Long Island Expressway (LIE, I-495) headed East.
Once on the LIE, head east, about 60 miles, to Exit 70, Manorville.
Exit LIE at Exit 70 and turn right (South).
Go about 3 miles to Sunrise Highway (Rte. 27). The road will dead-end at this point.
Follow Rte. 27 East for about 13 miles.
Sunrise Highway turns into Montauk Highway.
Montauk Highway (Rte. 27) will go from 2 lanes down to 1 lane
From this point, refer to the map below for proper location.

Via the Interstate I-495, Long Island Expressway (LIE)
Select approach:
From the Verazzano Bridge, head East on I-278 (BQE) 13 miles to I-495.
From the Triboro Bridge, remain on the Grand Central Parkway 5 miles to I-495.
From the Whitestone Bridge, take I-678 south 2 miles to I-495.
From the Throgs Neck Bridge, take I-295 south 3 miles to I-495
Take the Long Island Expressway (LIE, I-495) headed East.
Once on the LIE, head east about 60 miles until Exit 70, Manorville.
Exit LIE at Exit 70 and turn right (South).
Go about 3 miles to Sunrise Highway (Rte. 27). The road will dead-end at this point.
Follow Rte. 27 East for about 13 miles.
Sunrise Highway turns into Montauk Highway.
Montauk Highway (Rte. 27) will go from 2 lanes down to 1 lane

Via Parkways
Select approach:
From the Verrazano Bridge, see below.
From the Triboro Bridge, remain on the Grand Central Parkway.
From the Whitestone Bridge, take the Cross Island Parkway south to Exit 23, Grand Central Parkway.
From the Throgs Neck Bridge, take the Cross Island Parkway south to Exit 23, Grand Central Parkway.
Take Grand Central Parkway East to "Eastern Long Island".
The Grand Central Parkway will turn into the Northern State Parkway once you exit Queens.
Remain on the Northern State Parkway 12 miles to Exit 34, Wantagh Parkway.
Head South on Wantagh Parkway 6 miles to Exit W4, Southern State Parkway.
Head East on Southern State Parkway 20 miles to Exit 44, Sunrise Highway.
Head East on Sunrise Highway (Rte. 27), about 40 miles
Sunrise Highway turns into Montauk Highway.
Montauk Highway (Rte. 27) will go from 2 lanes down to 1 lane

From the Verrazano Bridge, head East on the Belt Parkway about 21 miles to Exit 25, Southern State Parkway
Head East on Southern State Parkway 32 miles to Exit 44, Sunrise Highway.
Head East on Sunrise Highway (Rte. 27), about 40 miles.
Sunrise Highway turns into Montauk Highway.
Montauk Highway (Rte. 27) will go from 2 lanes down to 1 lane

Driving -- From Orient Point (click for map)
Once you disembark at Orient Point, take Route 25 West 9 miles to Greenport, and then follow the signs for Route 114 South.
You will cross over the North Ferry ($8) to Shelter Island and then over the South Ferry ($7) to Sag Harbor. Once you get into Sag Harbor, turn South on Sag Turnpike and proceed 4 miles to Montauk Highway.

Public Transportation

By Train:
The Long Island Railroad (LIRR) will carry you the 96 miles from Midtown right to Bridgehampton refreshed and ready to enjoy the splendor of the Hamptons. Once you depart the train in Bridgehampton, catch a taxi to the hotel and let the relaxing begin.
Adult fares are $10.25 one-way in off-peak, and $15.25 in peak-season. Child fares are less. Trains are boarded at Penn Station, but require a transfer at Jamaica.

* Note: Generally, the train is faster than traveling by car during the peak season, especially on Thursdays and Fridays.

By Bus:
Luxury coach service is available from Manhattan, as well as LaGuardia, JFK and MacArthur Airports.

The Hampton Jitney provides convenient service at reasonable rates. Please refer to http://www.hamptonjitney.com/ for the latest schedules and fares.
The Jitney picks up passengers along Third Avenue at 86th, 69th, 59th and 41st Streets and drops off at Westhampton, Quogue, Southampton, Water Mill, Bridgehampton, East Hampton and Ammagansett.

The Hampton Luxury Liner is another coach service that provides regular departures from Manhattan along Third Avenue at 42nd, 50th, 59th, 72nd and 86th Streets with drop offs at Southampton, Water Mill, Bridgehampton, Wainscott, East Hampton and Amagansett. Arriving from MacArthur Airport
Exit the airport and take Veterans Memorial Highway South to Sunrise Highway (Rte. 27).
Head East on Sunrise Highway, about 35 miles.
Sunrise Highway turns into Montauk Highway.

Take the Long Island Expressway (LIE, I-495) headed East.

Go about 3 miles to Sunrise Highway (Rte. 27). The road will dead-end at this point.

Via LIE (I-495)
Disembark ferry and head South on State Route 112.
Drive 8 miles to I-495, LIE.
Head East on LIE about 15 miles to Exit 70, Manorville.
Exit LIE at Exit 70 and turn right (South).
Go about 3 miles to Sunrise Highway (Rte. 27). The road will dead-end at this point.
Follow Rte. 27 East for about 13 miles.
Sunrise Highway turns into Montauk Highway.
Montauk Highway (Rte. 27) will go from 2 lanes down to one lane.

Via Sunrise Highway
Disembark ferry and head South on State Route 112.
Drive South on 112 about 11 miles to Sunrise Highway (Rte. 27).
Head East on Sunrise Highway 35 miles, at which point Sunrise Highway becomes Montauk Highway.
Montauk Highway (Rte. 27) will go from 2 lanes down to one lane.
